Before embarking on a distinguished military and corporate career, Michael Curtis Broughton developed his foundational discipline as a nationally competitive youth swimmer for the Normal Parks Sharks from 1990 to 1997. The rigorous morning routines, pressure inurement, and incremental growth demanded by elite swimming seamlessly translated into his Army career, where he rose from an enlisted infantryman to a Captain, earned a Combat Infantryman’s Badge, and directed major Arctic air mobility operations. Broughton later applied this same relentless work ethic to academia and industry, earning four master's degrees, publishing proprietary logistics frameworks, and holding senior supply chain leadership roles at major companies like The Home Depot and Samsung. Ultimately, Broughton’s early years in the pool established a lifelong mindset of precision, resilience, and continuous self-improvement that has driven his success across the military, corporate, and academic sectors.
